The XIXth International Jewellery Show “Amber Trip” in Vilnius will take place at the largest convention and exhibition center in the Baltic States “Litexpo”. As every year, the largest jewelry event in the Baltic States will bring together professional jewelers, amber craftsmen and designers, manufacturers of technological devices and units, which are intended for jewelers, under one roof.

It scheduled in the spaces of the Lithuanian Exhibition and Convention Center “Litexpo” from the 15th to the 18th of March 2023.

Why visit?

  • The International jewellery exhibition will feature the latest products of the world jewelry industry and trends in the amber market, modern technologies of the jewelry industry and the latest works of professional jewelers;

  • About 60% the exposition area will be occupied by amber raw material and amber goods, another 40% will be occupied by jewelry production;

  • “Amber Trip” International jewelry exhibition is a platform where you can meet, make purchases, sell and negotiate further deals;

  • The exhibition, like every year, will host many different events and seminars on the themes of jewelry and amber. The experts not only from Lithuania, but also from other countries of the world, will share their views at these seminars;

  • For the fourth year in a row, “Amber Trip” will host the Amber Trip Raw trade. In 2022 large suppliers and intermediaries of amber raw materials and amber from Ukraine, Poland gathered here;

  • The exhibition, organised in Vilnius, will also be unique thanks to the holding of an international jewellery competition. Its theme is “Choice”, and we are waiting for the entries of the contestants until 1st of February, 2023. In 2022, 55 jewellers competed at the International Jewelry Competition;

  • Professional jewellers will be united again by the Author’s Jewellery Zone. Here in the spring 2022, with a single author’s works was attended by 40 jewelers from Lithuania, Latvia, Poland;
  • Vilnius City Municipality remains the sponsor of the “Amber Trip” exhibition and this is an important assessment of this unique event.

Exhibition Program

  • Jewellery Art Contest “Choice – an international competition with more than 50 authors from all over the world. We invite you to vote for the best art work (in Author Jewellery Zone).
  • Author Jewellery Zone – a trade and exhibition area designed specifically for jewellers.
  • Jewellery Cleaning and Renewal – during the exhibition free of charge (CARNAUBA).

MARCH 15th

12.00 – Opening ceremony of the Exhibition (Hall 3 lobby).

13.00 – Workshop “Duke Gediminas’ cloak of 700 wolves”. Plate making using enamel technique – Founder of enamel art studio – gallery Maryte Dominaite. The workshop will be in Lithuanian.

14.00 – Workshop “On buttons: lost, found, created”. We will make amber buttons – Kristina Dulevičiūtė, jeweller. The workshop will be in Lithuanian.

15.00 – “Touch me. Latvian Jewelery art Association exhibitions” – Ginta Grube – Latvian based jewellery artist and theoretician. The lecture will be in Lithuanian.

16.00 – “The Concept of Conceptual Jewellery at the Telsiai Faculty of the Vilnius Academy of Arts” – Professor at the Vilnius Academy of Arts, jewellery artist Laima Keriene. The lecture will be in Lithuanian.

MARCH 16th

11.00 – Trajectories of Contemporary Jewellery in Portugal: Artists and Contexts – Art critic, curator, artist – Dr. Cristina Filipe. The lecture will be in English.

12.00 – “Application of electrochemical methods in jewellery and art” – Igoris Skripka – Chemist jeweller. The lecture will be in Lithuanian.

13.00 – Workshop “Duke Gediminas’ cloak of 700 wolves”. Plate making using enamel technique – Founder of enamel art studio – gallery Maryte Dominaite. The workshop will be in Lithuanian.

14.00 – “TIG technology. Its use in jewellery welding of titanium” – jeweller Alfredas Daulius. The lecture will be in Lithuanian.

15.00 – “PER ASPERA AD ASTRA: Cosmos Lem Jewellery project as an attempt to open new horizons of jewellery as a field of contemporary art.” – Prof. Giedymin Jablonski (Poland). The lecture will be in English.

16.00 – “Between microcosmos and macrocosmos: the artist’s choice from the personal to the collective” – Lieta Marziali – a jewellery artist and independent writer, researcher, curator and mentor. The lecture will be in English.

MARCH 17th

11.00 – “Alexandrite effect in the world of gemstones, crystal optics” – Dr. Associate Prof. Arunas Kleismantas. The lecture will be in Lithuanian.

12.00 – Workshop “Jewellery, experiments with wax” – Founder of jewellery school “Vilnensis” Darijus Gerlikas. The workshop will be in Lithuanian.

13.00 – “Lithuanian enamel Art”. Bernard Gonnet Enamel space. – Artist, exhibitions’ organiser – curator Maryte Dominaite. The lecture will be in Lithuanian.

14.00 – “Luminescence – Glowing Minerals” – Nature research center’s PhD student, gemologist. The lecture will be in Lithuanian.

15.00 – Presentation of “Romantic Vilnius” – Designer jeweller Darijus Gerlikas. The lecture will be in Lithuanian.
